Starting My Blog

I've decided to start my first blog for a couple of reasons. First of all, I often recommend helpful Christian books, online sermons, and links to friends. I'd like to put all that information in one handy spot, both for my convenience and for theirs.
Secondly, I want to write about what it means to soak your soul in the wonders of God's grace. Five years ago, I didn't have a clue what that even meant, other than perhaps breathing a quick prayer thanking Jesus for being my Saviour, and maybe a quick recital of "Trust in the Lord with all your heart" in times of trouble. That's before the "crisis," that amazing time in when God began moving in my life.
I plan to focus on theology, rather than personal musings.  Not the dry, dusty, all in your head theology, but the kind that thrills your heart as you begin to see, more clearly, who the God of the Bible is and what it can mean to you.
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! (Romans 11:33 ESV)

So, hopefully, with the help of my computer savvy kids, I'll be able to figure out this blogging business and get things up and running soon.
